Keg Lid - Carbonation

Introducing the innovative carbonating lid for your favorite Corny Keg. This Cornelius keg lid comes equipped with a built-in carbonation stone, allowing for quick force carbonation using the attached.5 micron stone. In addition, you have the convenience of easily moving the lid from keg to keg, eliminating the hassle of trying to attach and detach lines from the "gas in" dip tube. Simply connect your gas quick disconnect to the included fitting on the lid and let the carbonation process begin.

The lid is expertly constructed by welding a 1/4" barb to the underside, with 2' of 1/4" ID tubing attached to a.5 micron carbonation stone on the other end. The flexible tubing allows the lid to be inserted into any Cornelius style keg. The top of the lid features a "gas in" ball lock body connect that is welded in place, compatible with the KEG710 and KEG730 gas quick disconnects.

Here's how to use this convenient product: First, ensure that your beer is stored at a cold temperature of 34-40F. Then, pre-boil the stone for 2-3 minutes to sterilize it and remove any residual oils. Next, sanitize the entire keg lid before submerging it into your keg filled with beer. Set your regulator's PSI to 3-4psi and attach the gas in fitting to the body connect on the lid. Leave the keg at this pressure for 1 hour, then gradually raise the pressure 2PSI per hour until you reach 10-12psi. Maintain this pressure for 24 hours, then pour a pint and test the carbonation. If needed, leave it for another 4-6 hours and test again. Once the carbonation level is satisfactory, remove the carbonation lid and return the original keg lid for long term storage.
